Support for Our Troops

I recently sent President George W. Bush a letter pledging the Chamber Federation’s complete support for him as our commander in chief and for our brave men and women in uniform during these challenging times.

I urge the business community to reach out to the families of our National Guard, Reserves, and all uniformed forces, and do everything possible to address the hardships they face today.

We can also show support for our country by continuing to do our jobs, serve our communities, and participate in the economy. Success in Iraq and in the broader war on terrorism requires a U.S. economy that continues to grow, trade, and compete around the world.

With the president’s strong leadership and the support of the American people, I’m confident that our troops will achieve their mission and return home shortly.
